Hi

I have been working as a community musician for over 30 years and a great of that time have been targetting work in deprived and challenging communitiesd and working with young people and adults. I am fascinated by the way music can connect with peoples lives and love turning conversations into songs. As the Artistic Director at More Music I keep trying to find funding and context for this work.

Thanks for being the first Pete. How do you think this Network could be useful to you? Both the meetings and digitally?

Hi, I am Phil Mullen (Irish name above) and am very pleased to see this network develop. I have been a community musician for over thirty years and as a freelancer I travel around England and the world talking and working with people on community music. I facilitate the meetings of this network and am delighted to see it develop as I believe that over time it will be vital in enabling every child, no matter what their background or circumstances , to have a great life with music, to learn and create at their best, Phil Mullen.

Thanks Phil! It's been great having you facilitating and bringing the topics for conversation within the meetings. How do you think the network could use this online strand of the network?

Particularly with the conference drawing closer!

Thanks Ash, I think the network can use this online component to bring other people in and share practice through blogs. I think sharing the things that interest, intrigue and frustrate us is a great way forward. Also we can post notifications of what is coming up and get dialogue going with people in other parts of the country,

 best , Phil
