You are here:

Join us for a lunchtime Google hangout chat about quality - Monday 2 February 12.30pm

Last week, we published an interview with Phil Mullen about 'Quality in music work with children in challenging circumstances.' It's already prompting a rich debate online and off, and we want to get more people involved. We'd love you to join us for our online video chat with Phil - or to simply let us have the questions you'd like to ask Phil and others who take part.

If you don't already know him, Phil is a leading community musician, community music trainer and member of the Musical Inclusion Evaluation and Networking Team, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the UK and internationally.

Here's the interview: Interview with Phil Mullen on Quality

But he's keen to point out that the views in the interview are a personal perspective, and other people will have different/additional views to contribute.

We're giving you a chance to do just that by either:

  • Joining us for our Google Hangout on Monday 2 February at 12.30pm
  • Sending us the questions you'd like to put to Phil and others at that session (if you can't attend yourself)

Our hangout will be very informal - we've never done it before ourselves! - but it will be informative - we expect it to be a lively and productive part of the conversations that have gone on so far in the comments section of the interview blog, and that will continue through the Gathering on 23rd February, and our slot at the Music Ed Expo on 13 March.

What is a Google Hangout?

It's a bit like a Skype group chat - ie you'll see people on your computer screen, and can chat to them.

How do I get involved?

Why else would I be interested in exploring Google Hangout?
