Its been a busy and exciting time for the Concept Music Project team and the young musicians and producers who have been taking part. With two of our 'Pop Up Studio' residencies completed and drop in sessions happening regularly in Corby and Leicester, we are looking forward to music making with more young creatives and pleased to be collaborating with a range of project partners throughout 2017 and into 2018. This is an initial reflection on our first residency at the Core in February.

Commentary on Community Music often highlights a lack of methodologically sound evidence for the sectors work. To address this Noise Solution set out to quantify its impacts. 

soundWELL is soundLINCS’ music delivery with the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust. It is part of soundLINCS’ Youth Music Fund C musical inclusion programme, which is taking place throughout Nottinghamshire, Leicester/shire and Lincolnshire over three years. The project delivers music workshops and training with Children in Challenging Circumstances across five diverse strands; looked after children, youth justice services, paediatric services, young parents and children with special educational needs, including those who are hearing impaired.

This group is the place to ask a question, start a discussion, share ideas and make connections. It originally was a discussion group for those funded under Youth Music's Musical Inclusion grants, but from 1 April 2015 it is open to all.

HOW TO POST IN THE GROUP:

1. Log in to the Youth Music Network (contact Sophie.Scott@youthmusic.org.uk in the comms team if you've forgotten your login or don't have one or see this page: http://network.youthmusic.org.uk/help-support)

2. Click the 'Join group' button and you'll immediately be a member.

3. In the left hand column you'll see an orange block with heading 'add content'

4. Underneath is a blue block, 'add new discussion'. This is where you can post your blog. 

If you already blog on the Network:
Once you're a member of the Musical Inclusion group, you can just go to the bottom of any blog you're posting and click on 'add to a group' and then select the drop down option 'Musical Inclusion'.
