Early Years Music/Singing class leader

Job description

We are looking for an energetic and fun loving class leader to join our team.  You will be self-motivated with a can-do attitude, have lots of energy, a passion for music with a great singing voice, and love to work with young children. A vibrant personality is key.

You’ll need a varied and wide range of musical experience and knowledge, including teaching and performing. Basic knowledge of music theory is required.

A teaching background is required, although you don’t need to have done this exact role before. Full training, props and equipment, lesson plans, and regular on-going support are all provided.  What we do need is previous teaching experience, a broad musical background, upbeat attitude, and a passion for delivering the best sessions that you can with enthusiasm and lots and lots of energy!

Class leaders earn £25 per hour operating on a self-employed, sub-contract basis. The work is part-time, with hours to fit around other self-employed work. The role suits teachers working on other after school contracts especially well.

We are looking for a class leader to start training in January and take on new contracts in early 2018.  You would need to be available to work 4-9 hours a week, over 3-4 days. Classes are usually held for 2 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon.

NB because of this, this role would only suit class leaders living in or within 10 miles of St Albans, Hemel or Watford.

***Class leaders need their own car to fulfil this role.****

South Herts will be a brand new area for Music Go Round!  We need a confident and dynamic class leader with excellent interpersonal skills to take the business to new settings. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

Please apply via the online application form link from the class leader advert on the website.
