Freelance Music Practitioners with Facilitation Skills

Job description

Mind the Gap is a touring theatre company based in Bradford with a large Academy strand. We are currently seeking freelance Musician/Tutors to work with learning-disabled Artists and Students. Musicians will deliver a variety of music skills amongst the Academy programmes and core company work, ensuring a high level of output, learning and accreditation for the students.

Areas of work may include: Performance Academy course (music modules), working with individual Artists and MTG’s creative teams, technical support for MTG’s Band, delivering evening/weekend Youth Academies (alongside dance and drama tutors), amongst others.

Your skills and experience:

We are seeking great musicians who can plan and lead training courses, as well as people who can work creatively alongside a team of artists. The ability to perform and share skills in a range of musical forms will be an advantage, but those with a particular specialism are also welcome to apply. Previous experience of working with learning-disabled young people and adults is desirable but not essential – all tutors work alongside support staff from Mind the Gap.

Rate of pay: Freelance, £80 to £120 per full day, to be negotiated depending on position and experience.
