Job description
YMES is a not-for-profit music service providing music tuition in schools, at Saturday morning music centres, and via a Home Tuition scheme.
Our Home Tuition scheme is undergoing significant expansion and we are welcoming job applications from teachers of all instruments who are interested in this type of work.
The scheme is currently focussed on Leeds and offers teachers the opportunity to build up a portfolio of part-time teaching work with YMES. Lessons are on a 1-to-1 basis in the comfort of students' own homes, and teachers enjoy all the benefits of being part of a professional organisation - networking and professional development opportunities are provided for all staff, and all our administration is centralised including recruitment of students; timetabling; and finance. All you need to do is turn up and teach!
Teachers must either have their own transport, or be happy using public transport to visit students' homes.
