Music Editor

Job description

Sing Up is a fast-growing company selling digital education and music resources to schools, teachers and vocal leaders. Sing Up believes that all children and young people should have opportunities to sing, for personal enjoyment, to support learning and to help them develop lasting tools to express themselves with confidence and creativity. We’re currently looking to recruit a talented and proactive team member to join our Learning Team.

A collaborative team player, you will work as part of a vibrant, creative team that specialises in creating exceptional music educational resources for a variety of different audiences. Responsible for coordinating the creation of Sing Up’s music and related content (with specific responsibility for managing the generation and delivery of songs and related content for the termly Sing Up magazine), you’ll be a qualified musician and music editor with a clear understanding and appreciation of excellence in music education, singing in schools and other settings. A large part of this new role involves coordination of contributions from a wide range of individuals and freelance musicians; we are therefore looking for an experienced relationship manager. The role will require a highly-motivated, meticulous, and creative self-starter with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Exceptional time and project management are essential, as is an ability to work to strict deadlines.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a small team where your contribution can make a huge difference for a respected organisation with a successful track record of implementing transformative change through music education.
