The Music House for Children is seeking a full time music specialist and manager at its school with a special interest in working with the younger age groups.
Teach a range of music classes to young children and primary ages including those with additional needs.
Co-ordinate early years and group instrumental programmes at the school.
Support placement and opportunities for teachers in classes (London based) Manage a range of concert programmes
Co-devise early years musical storytelling workshops and shows.
Support training initiatives in early years music.
Support administration with all music enquiries
Assist with quality control and observation of early years music teachers.
Support the development of new initiatives, projects and research studies.
Support the Founder in developing all early years initiatives, training and research.
Be part of a dynamic and creative team.
The candidate should
Be an experienced/qualified music teacher, and with younger age groups
Be a qualified instrumental teacher
Have some experience and/or qualifications in work with additional needs
Have experience at devising/creating termly programmes of study
Be interested in, and have some experience at devising/creating multi-arts workshops
Love working with young children and primary ages
Be well versed in data input, Microsoft word, AppleMac
Be comfortable working within an office environment
Understand and communicate excellent teaching practice
Demonstrate excellent initiative and a consistent work ethic
Have imagination, and bring a creative flair to the organisation
Rate of pay, hours and start date
Start date Mid August 2017
Rate of pay initial Fixed Term Contract. £27 – 35,000pa dependent on experience and qualifications.
