Operations Manager

Job description

At Accessible Arts & Media (AAM) we use imagination, ingenuity and 34 years’ experience to create arts and media programmes tailored to meet the needs and aspirations of the people we work with. We create a supportive, fun environment that inspires and motivates people to explore the world around them and to learn and express themselves through creativity. We work with a wide range of fantastic people, from young people and people with disabilities and sensory impairments, to elderly people in residential care and people with mental ill-health, to groups in our local community.

Joining our highly motivated Senior Management Team, the post-holder will lead on company management and administration, including office management, IT and technical, finance, human resources and governance. As a new role for AAM, this presents an exciting opportunity for someone to review and update our current practices and introduce new ideas.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ relevant management experience and be a strategic, innovative and independent thinker with a real ‘can-do’ attitude.

This post is offered initially on a freelance basis, 2.5 days per week until 30 April 2017 and is funded by Cabinet Office’s Local Sustainability Fund, delivered by Big Lottery Fund.
