Job description

Rhythmix is a music, social welfare and education charity based in the South East of England. We provide a year round programme that covers a breadth of music making activity involving people of all ages and all backgrounds. We are one of the most established and highly regarded music organisations working in our field. Rhythmix has a history of 15 years of regionally and nationally acclaimed work that demonstrate flexibility, belief, imagination, partnership and connection.

We believe in the power of music to transform lives and that everyone should have the chance to express themselves through music. Music making gives people the opportunity to gain independence, an insight into their skills, hone their talents and a chance to engage with professional musicians as their Rhythmix tutors.

Annually Rhythmix works with 1500 young people and runs a budget of just under £0.5 million.

Major Funders include: Comic Relief, Children in Need, Wellcome Trust, Amy Winehouse Foundation, Big Lottery, Youth Music and Arts Council England.

Partners include: Local Authorities Services (Youth, Fostering and Adoption,  Youth Offending, Music, Disability) NHS (Hospitals,  Child and Adolescent Mental Health services), Alternative Education (Pupil Referral Units, Educational Behaviour, Alternative Curriculum) and Cultural Organisations .

Overview

The Programme Manager (Innovation & Inclusion) will take an overview of the strands within this programme ensuring that the following is delivered to a high standard

  • Innovation & Inclusion workshop programme

  • Funding

  • Reporting (Evaluation and Monitoring)

  • Managing Project Managers

  • Advocacy of the programme

  • Future vision and planning

Information: This post is offered on a freelance basis, office space can be used in the Brighton office. Team being supported are working across Brighton & Hove, East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent and Surrey.

Hours: Contract for 144 days (1st April 2016- 31st March 2017) (calculated at approximately 3 days per week).

Fee: £18,720 for 144 days

Reporting to: Strategic Director
