Singing Development Teacher

Job description

Nottingham Music Service is seeking to appoint a part time singing development teacher to lead on the singing strategy for the City establishing and managing provision and delivering activity where appropriate.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed vocal specialist with relevant ability and aspirations to support this creative and ambitious organisation moving forward.

The successful applicant will be able to support excellent vocal provision for city schools delivering workshops and longer term interventions, providing vocal coaching and CPD and working with partners to establish city wide initiatives to inspire and enthuse children and school staff.  They will also play a key role in promoting the service aim of providing exciting musical experiences for all children that connect with the many not the few.

Our vision is that all children and young people in Nottingham have an inspiring and rewarding experience of making music with others.  Our mission is to facilitate joyous, life-enhancing and confidence-building experiences that equip children and young people with perseverance, self-belief and a life-long love of music.

Music for Everyone, with whom we work closely, are also advertising a part time post for a Principal Youth Music Animateur. Interviews for both posts will be held on Friday June 17 2016. Should the same candidate be successful in being appointed to both posts then Music for Everyone and the Nottingham Music Hub would ensure that there would be a close collaboration between the two organisations to enable both posts to work successfully alongside each other.
