Violin Teacher
Job description
YMES is a not-for-profit music service based in Leeds providing music tuition in schools, at Saturday morning music centres, and via a home tuition scheme.
We are seeking to appoint two outstanding violin teachers to join the dedicated team of colleagues at YMES. You will be passionate about inspiring students of all ages and backgrounds through excellent teaching and learning.
The successful candidates will teach lessons in schools on Thursdays and/or at our music centre on Saturday mornings.
Some of the work contains an element of large group ("wider opportunities") teaching. Prior experience working in a similar context is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate must, however, demonstrate not only an understanding of teaching methods but also arrive with an aptitude for classroom management and the ability to enthuse all young people in their music-making.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and those new to the profession. A full support programme will be provided for colleagues at the start of their careers.
