Eva Lazarus rocked the joint! The rock band blew the roof off, and good times were had by all!

On Thursday evening last week, a flock of people migrated to Colston Hall in Bristol, for an evening of incredible music in all forms.  Kicking off at 6pm, the evening started with young performers from XLR Sessions at Knowle West Media Centre, Remix Academy at Colston Hall and Urban Arts Space (Creative Youth Network).

From beautiful acoustic pieces from Louis Stone (XLR), Justin Daniels aka GOD MC (XLR) and Polly (Remix), to upbeat numbers from The Band With No Name (Remix) and the amazingly slick UAS DJs, every performer was amazing. From now seasoned performers, some of whom were just over 12 years old, to first timers, it was amazing to see the level of quality across the board, and the amazing level of support the crowd gave when they could tell certain performers needed a little extra help.

After an hour and a half of great live performances and DJ sets, hosted by James Kennaby (XLR / Remix / Temple Records), the crowd were reay for Temple Records 1st Birthday gig. Over 3 hours, every one of the Temple Records performers stepped onto the Lantern stage and gave it their all. With some remarkable performances from the likes of Jeremy Howard and Lady Francesca for their single launch (available on i-Tunes now! - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/showdown-feat.-lady-francesca/id983328006)

The duo played a seamless Jazz set, moving onto their Electro-Swing gem "Showdown". From heavy rock vibes courtesy of Into The Shade, to the acoustic singer / songwriter sounds of Polly Rorison...

... it was humbling seeing the level of talent on display, and having been at the Temple Records Launch Party 12 months ago, seeing the massive development that has taken place, particularly for artists like Teez, who since signing to Temple has developed Stay Hungry alongside his brother and regular collaborator Alex Part. Teez has gone from strength to strength, being classed as one of Rife Magazine's 25 under 25 to watch list, and recently being the centre of a documentary on Hip Hop by Rife: (https://youtu.be/S5v59I1fTqM)

After some incredible performances Eva Lazarus finished off the evening in style, with a truly amazing acoustic performance that had the crowd won over from the first bar!

We had and awesome night, and were so proud of ALL of the young and seriously talented performers at Colston Hall, We look forward to the 2nd birthday gig!
