VERVE 1 and VERVE ENSEMBLE- creative arts projects at Opera North for 8 - 16 yrs

Opera North is recruiting for two exciting new projects for young people aged 8-16, Verve 1 and Verve Ensemble.

These projects are accessible to anyone, and we especially welcome those with developmental disorders, communication and learning difficulties.

VERVE 1 (8-12 yrs): Saturday mornings, January - March 2014

Verve1 is a creative arts project for those aged 8-12. Participants will work with a professional composer and director once a week during term time, and will have opportunities to explore a range of art forms including music, drama, dance and design.

VERVE ENSEMBLE (12-16 yrs): Tuesday evenings, January - July 2014

Verve Ensemble is a movement and music project running over two terms for those aged 12-16, which will support participants to develop key performance, movement, and drama skills. The group will work with a movement specialist and musician over two terms to learn techniques in physical theatre and drama and will explore other art forms along the way.
