The theme for today's session has been collaboration. Our YP has been researching his Silver Arts Award challenge and is starting to source the people he needs to complete his challenge of organising his own music event. He has found a mentor for this and started to source venues. On the music side of things we were joined today by an industry professional to look at the art of writing hooks or choruses.

The theme for today's session has been collaboration. Our YP has been researching his Silver Arts Award challenge and is starting to source the people he needs to complete his challenge of organising his own music event. He has found a mentor for this and started to source venues. On the music side of things we were joined today by an industry professional to look at the art of writing hooks or choruses. 

We started the session by listening to hooks on various songs to find the common thread and to discuss ways to implement these into the YP's own music. We then contiued bringing up a previous production that the YP had started and adding to that until we had a foundation upon which we could find a vibe to write to. The YP and Aearon Whyte then began to construct melodies and came up with a concept for the song. We also added a chord progression to complement the melody.

Upon the request of the YP, Aearon is going to returning next week to complete the chorus and hopefully the song, which, the YP will umtlimately perform at the event he is organising for his Arts Award challenge. Great session and positive progress for the YP who showed great enthusiasm and potential.
