Music4ward is an innovative, integrated music and key skills programme that builds individual musical, life and leadership skills, creates local opportunities for personal development and increases engagement and participation in the local community. Young people participate in music-making workshops, mentoring, studio time and professional development opportunities in the music business.
Our unique music technology and production courses combine real-life music industry skillswith key learning and basic skills to accredit participants with an BTEC award. Our specialist teaching staff has an aptitude for motivating and engaging at risk young people, including youth offenders and disadvantaged youth, and guiding them towards a positive outcome, a formal qualification and further education via our innovative BTEC courses.
Young people on our programmes learn about all aspects of the music industry, from making a beat, writing a rhyme and spinning a record to promoting their music, signing a contract and getting the best from a record deal. We have active partnerships in place with the music industry, the media and internationally-acclaimed record labels to ensure young people get a realistic picture of today’s entertainments industry.
