The Spark Arts for Children was founded in Leicester in 2003 as a multi-arts form festival including contemporary music to provide a platform to present the very best of British and international children’s arts.  The Spark exists to enable children aged from 0-13 and their families to enjoy the opportunities offered by the arts as audiences, learners and as creators of their own art. Throughout the year we facilitate and commission a range of creative educational events in schools and community venues, such as artists in libraries and children’s centres, which complement and extend the work of our annual arts festival.

Woodgate Residents Association runs the Woodgate Resources Centre in central Leicester. We run music classes for children aged 5-18, we also have an early-years project for 0-5s. The instruments we currently offer are: singing, violin, keyboard, guitar, recorder, flute and clarinet. There is also a choir and a mixed-instrument band.

We are a Leicester-based charity established in 1986 which uses arts, media and music activities to inspire and engage young people and help them to develop creative, social and employability skills. Our inclusive way of working helps young people who lack opportunities or have challenges in their lives to participate in positive creative activities. We help them get back on track if things have gone wrong, try new things, build the confidence and resilience to change negative or risky behaviours, and progress to lead more fulfilling lives. This, in turn, has a beneficial effect on their communities.

We are a charity that provides education and training to young people at risk and vulnerable adults; individuals whom are often socially excluded and from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We believe that with the right levels of support and timely intervention everyone can achieve their goals. We call this work 'Pioneering Potential'.

Our programmes and courses develop confidence, emotional resilience and increase self-esteem.
