Bedlington to Ashington Building Brass represented at Brass in Concert 2017

Brass in Concert 2017 Sage Gateshead will once again host the Brass in Concert 2017 workshops and competitions.  MPN are pleased to announce that five schools from Northumberland will be involved in both the workshops and performances on Saturday 18th November.    

Students from Bedlington West End and Whitley Memorial First School, Stead Lane, Mowbray and Ellington Primary School will be performing on the main concourse of Sage Gateshead on Saturday afternoon as part of the Stella lineup of brass talent from across the country at the 2017 Brass in Concert at Sage Gateshead.

Students from the schools are currently involved in a youth music funded initiative in which each school has created it's very own mini brass band.  This project is in it's final year of funding and includes 15 schools from across South East Northumberland with over 200 children playing in a school mini brass band every week.

On Saturday 18th November 128 children will perform on the concourse at Sage Gateshead which follows on from a very popular attendance last year.  If you are in the area please come and support these students. www.sagegateshead.com/event/brass-in-concert-2017/
