City of London Choir - Young Singers' Scheme and Young Apprentice Tenor Scheme 2016

Bursaries available for singers aged 16-19 from October 2016

Are you a singer aged 16-19?

Would you like to perform in a top amateur choir in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Barbican, alongside professional orchestras?

 

The City of London Choir has opportunities for young people who want to develop their musicianship, teamwork, and professionalism.

Full bursaries and vocal coaching available for tenors, subsidised rates for sopranos, altos, and basses (£35 per year to include £25 music costs).

Certificates of Achievement and CV testimonials/references provided for 6th Formers and Gap Year students. Ideal opportunity for IB CAS Hours and D of E Gold Award Scheme 'Skills' hours.

 

Weekly rehearsals take place at Bridewell Hall, Fleet Street, EC4 on Mondays 6.30-8.45pm

Closest tubes: Blackfriars and St Paul's, Mainline: Blackfriars and City Thameslink, Buses: 4, 11, 15, 23, 26, 76, 172 (Fleet St end) and 45, 63, and 100 (Blackfriars Bridge End)

Applicants welcome to attend rehearsals by arrangement, prior to an informal audition to include aural and sight-singing exercises of an intermediate standard.
