Facebook group for inclusive music education

As part of our Youth Music funded Think2020 programme we are supporting the music education sector to boost inclusivity.

One of the ways we are boosting inclusivity in music education is through our Community of Learning.

We have plans coming up for webinars and will also be leading the charge at the Music Mark conference, with John Kelly delivering the keynote on behalf of Drake Music, followed up by a panel discussion with disabled musicians, some of the Drake Music team and a representative from one of the Music Hubs we work with.

If you are a teacher/music leader who is interested in an inclusive approach to music education then we have another fantastic resource for you. We host a Facebook group for people working in music ed in SEN/D settings, or who wish to be more inclusive in their approach.

We hold the space for an open, honest and supportive discussion among practitioners, helping everyone to learn and develop together.

We see people sharing their successes, asking questions and starting productive discussions with each other across the country.

If you would like to join please simply make a request and become part of the community.

You can read more about it on the Drake Music site or head straight to Facebook to join the group.
