Solar Festival

What a day!

It was nerves galore (as you could as imagine) as the young people at Marsden Heights High School played at their first festival!

As part of the BIG 10 week at Burnley Youth Theatre (BYT), 'Solar Festival' organised by the Youth Board at BYT finished off the week, and what a finish it was. The young people perfored their song 'Be who you wanna be' and also performed songs and spoken word pieces, helped by our workshop leader Lee Affen and J-Short, a rapper who was commissioned by BYT for the festival.

Its been a huge week for the young people, we've had tears and tantrums which very quickly turned into elation and happiness after they performed. One of our young people even got up and did a solo! Very proud.

Its half term now. Looking forward to getting back up and running again!
