Hello YM Network,

I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction with a challenge we are having at AudioActive? We’re trying to address our observations that the average skill/knowledge levels (in this case around music production/tech.) of rurally isolated young people is often somewhat behind that of young people of an equivalent age in urban areas.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has been taking part in the groundbreaking World Orchestra Project for the past year. RPO Contrabassoonist Fraser Gordon reports on last Friday’s culmination concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

As musicians our work usually speaks for itself. In the words of Mr Wonder “Music is a world within itself with a language we all understand” As music leaders who are also musicians, I think we sometimes expect others to look at our work with the same level of understanding.

First things first, congratulations are in order for everyone involved at Wired4Music as funding has been secured for another year! This means one thing now, we have a lot of work to get on with.
