We are pleased to be working with BOYS 4 piece girl band one of the young people on the Youth Music Project.

Boys is a 4-piece girl band that revels in creating an unapologetically ‘pop’ sound. Boys have the material necessary to commit to an eight-track recording, which they plan to promote to their youthful fan base through the social-media channels used by their Millennial peers.

They hope that with sufficient funding from Youth Music, they will be able to develop their sound in the recording studio at MEL Productions CIC, and produce a CD to be promoted at their live gigs. They recently performed at a showcase in Kings Cross with some of the other acts that are also on the programme. The techniques they have acquired while on our programme have noticeably enhanced their musical ability and performance, an improvement that has both delighted and impressed their friends and family members who have been lucky enough to hear recent performances.

Boys hope to spread awareness of their joyful pop-sound by performing at venues across London. Planned appearances will be vigorously marketed through social and print media, local radio and word of mouth.

At present they are practicing their performance techniques while benefitting from collaborations with a number of well-known session pros. The support of experienced professionals has led to a demonstrable increase in confidence. The study of concert footage, under the expert tuition of seasoned performers, has burnished Boys’ live sound and polished their on-stage performance.

We have chosen to work with these remarkable young women, in tandem with Youth Music, because we believe the enthusiasm and dedication they bring to their craft will inspire other young women to pursue their own ambitions, wherever they may lead.
