The Brightest Boldest Brass Band in Tameside this Summer!

Jubacana is a youth-led, fusion music and performance project based in Oldham (Manchester), inspired by the music of Brazil, Africa and South-Asia with a UK twist. The project offers young people aged 8-18 a chance to develop key social, artistic and leadership skills, and celebrates the rich, cultural diversity of Oldham.

We will deliver weekly drumming and Garage Band sessions for Looked After Children in South Cumbria in partnership with Children's Services. Sessions will provide a positive opportunity for children to engage with their peers and adults, and to develop social and personal skills.

'Future Leaders' apprentices will extend practical skills in music making and gain project leading experience, guided by leading artists and professionals in the field. Study opportunities include weekend residentials, business and project development, and CPD, all cemented by distance mentoring via phone and email tutorials, and portfolio work.
