Are you a great band?
Come and take a headlining slot on our main stage, make the crowd go wild, and take the winners crown!
With the support of Square 1 Studios, the winning band will get the chance to record one of their songs in a professional recording studio and film a music video. There will also be an opportunity for additional mentoring, support and guidance including links to the industry.
We are looking for exciting young bands (aged 0-26 years) to take part in the battle.
Closing date for entries: Sunday 7th July 2013. Bands must be available Wednesday 24th July 2013

Summer Mix is an intensive music project for 16-25 year olds living in the London borough of Lewisham. We are looking for all sorts of musicians to join us for a great two weeks of free music creation and performance in July.

Unity aims to engage Looked After Children in the Great Yarmouth area in music making, in order that they may develop their resilience to the challenging circumstances they face, increase their participation in positive group activities, increase their wellbeing, and feel less isolated.

Through the Music Maze will share and extend BCMG's practice supporting children composing, through online resources; film documentation; action research; and develop models for future CPD

Imagine Compose will support beginner instrumentalists composing and improvising, through workshops, CPD, web resources, supported by a new generation of composer-educators and instrumental teachers.

The KX Collective is a dynamic group of young people from the King's Cross area who have a passion for exploring and creating new music. Working closely with the London Sinfonietta's Principal players, composers and associate artists they produce an annual programme of activity culminating in a spectacular performance.

The Advance Network will host 3 networking events including, pre concert talks and facilitated workshop that will explore the barriers black, Asian and minority ethnic groups face in accessing musical excellence. Talks, research and case studies developed will be disseminated on line and through national networks.

We will work with young Derbyshire musicians to develop their musical performance and leadership skills, who will then practice these skills through leading participative workshops with older people in their community. We will also train Derbyshire music leaders in developing young people's musicianship and music leadership in this empowering way.

Songlines is a music and drama project giving young people aged 10-14 from both disadvantaged backgrounds and those with Asperger's Syndrome/High Functioning ASD a creative experience that will develop their self-confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills; develop integration and understanding between the groups; and raise awareness of autism.

2 brand new youth choirs and 1 established choir will inhabit and perform in three Yorkshire gallery spaces. Led by experienced singers and songwriters, the choirs will learn existing music and create new music inspired by artwork exhibited, bringing a fresh take to how galleries are used by young people.

A dynamic new vocal ensemble for young people from Cornwall, Plymouth and Bristol. Tutored by top class vocal leaders, with exciting new repertoire, Rudling Voices will perform across the South West. This is a legacy for Gilly Rudling, who cared deeply and helped many young people access music making opportunities.

A Community Opera with three performances, including a cast of 180, aged 5-85, to an involved audience of 2,400 from the local community and schools, improving youth development, targeting children with no access to similar projects or experience of opera, and integrating the community.
