Ambition Aspire Achieve is running an amazing SEN Youth Music project in Canning Town in East London

We run weekly ensemble workshops that culminate in a group performance. We will be using Soundbeam to support this and will be performing at The Stratforf East Theatre in July as part of a Youth Showcase. If you are interested in Volunteering on this fantastic project let us know. 

As music teachers who often operate either in a solo capacity, providing private music tuition, or as part of small groups of music teachers, often connected to music school or hubs. This article explores why it is important to make connections with other music teachers across the UK and beyond to support continued professional development.

We have developed a resource booklet full of engaging information and activities about DJing while sneaking a heap of literacy, numeracy and even some geography and history in there.
Also contains glossaries of music terms and DJ terms as relevant to the current music curriculum.

INSPIRE: INspiring through Songwriting, Performance, moving Image, building Relationships and Enjoyment is a music programme in the North East of England for young people receiving both inpatient and community treatment for challenges associated with mental health and learning disabilities, or who require additional support within education settings.  The aim of the project is to develop song writing skills, musical performance opportunities within peer groups and general creative expression through making music videos.  This will encourage positive interactions within a safe inclusive environment with a view to improving confidence in a vairety of social settings.

The first Singing and Signing Summit took place on 30th January 2018 at the Doncaster School for the Deaf (part of Doncaster Deaf Trust).

The Equal Access to Music Programme  comprises a set of Projects . The Programme has emerged from our experience of taking a Social Model Approach to make equal access to music a reality for Young People with ' autism' or 'learning disability' labels .  We'd welcome discussion about the development of ' Inclusive Music Facilitators'

Community music and music education were at the centre of the conversation at the TEDx event in Lincoln late last year, as soundLINCS’ CEO Nikki-Kate Heyes MBE gave a fantastic speech on the topic “Community Music: A Power for Change”.
