The Beat Orchestra Is Back For Ths Summer

There will be full-day workshops this summer on the 7th, 8th and 9th of August and more to follow. These are open to all young musicians, rappers, singers, beatboxers and producers to create new music and rehearse the tracks that have been created.

Are you a musician? Instrumentalist? Vocalist? Beatboxer? Are you Interested in making and performing your own music? Or do you know of any young people that are? 

You are invited to rock up and play with the Beat Orchestra.  

Bring an instrument or a talent, get involved and take the limelight!  We are working during the summer holidays towards a performance as part of Peterborough Festival on Saturday 7th September

The all-day rehearsals are: Wednesday 7 August     10.30am – 4.30pm

Thursday 8 August         10.30am – 5.30pm

Friday 9 August               10.30am – 5.30pm

FAQ: What kind of music does the Beat Orchestra play?

The Beat Orchestra creates its own music which will be influenced by the music you like and listen to. Music can be influenced by any style, Hip-Hop, RnB, Jazz, Classical, Rock, Folk, Bangra, Soul, Reggae…

Can anyone join? Anyone who lives or studies in Peterborough, is aged 12-19 and loves music.

The Beat Orchestra is run in partnership by Beat This, Britten Sinfonia and Vivacity. This means you have access to some top-class musicians, both from the popular and urban music scene, and some of the UKs top classical players. Whatever your passion, we will have tutors who can support and nurture you. Come down and meet us – we’re friendly and ready to make music!
