Cultural Olympiad East Midlands

Groups/soloists/ensembles needed for performers database for Cultural Olympiad East Midlands team.

Its less than a year now until the Olympics arrive in London. I have recently met with Jess Tickell part of the Creative Programmes team for the Cultural Olympiad in the East Midlands. It seems there will be plenty of opportunities for performances including for the torch relay (animating the route), torch stopovers, events at the BBC big screen sites as well as for other celebrations and events as part of the Cultural Olympiad ‘Festival of Festivals’ for the East Midlands.

As a result of this meeting, I said that I would collect details of any performing groups, ensembles and/or solo artists who would like to be considered for performance. She will then be able to forward this information to appropriate organisers and local authority departments at the appropriate time. I am in no way guaranteeing any performance opportunities and Youth Music would not be a contracting partner or organiser, but if you would like any of your groups to go into this database, please can you copy and paste the details below and email to me:
