Introduction to Sound and Music for Screen (for ages 16-25)

Free three-day London workshop for young people interested in composing and sound editing for film and TV.

Interested in sound and music for film and TV? Aged 16-25?

The soundtrack is one of the most important parts of a film or TV show. With this in mind, our pals at OneKX are dedicating a whole project just to the audio behind the visuals.

They’re looking for a group of 15 enthusiastic people with an interest in sound and music for film/television. Over the summer break, you will get the chance to learn at the hand of award-winning professional composer Alexander Parsons. He will teach you how to plan a soundtrack using industry standard techniques, give you the technical skills necessary to capture the perfect sound and music, master editing practices, and finally produce a completely new score for an existing film. You don’t have to be an expert in either music or filmmaking to participate, but OneKX are looking for passionate creative individuals who are willing to learn.

This three-day intensive project will run from 21-23 August 2013, from 10am to 4.30pm each day.
