About

I am a Creative Producer and the Director of AudioActive, a pioneering regional youth music and arts organisation where I have worked since 2006. My background is in youth work and alternative education. In 2009 I was one of only 2 people in the South East nominated to receive a BBC Urban Bursary in recognition of my work using contemporary urban art forms within youth development and education settings. More recently I have been a key player in developing innovative projects such as Break4Change, which uses musical and creative approaches to help young people to reduce their violent & abusive behaviour or 'Sound Without Borders' which uses cutting edge technology to help young people overcome extreme rural isolation. As a producer I'm into creating Hip Hop Theatre and I'm currently working on developing collaborative musical pieces that bring together urban musicians with more classical or traditional genres. I also work as an associate of Culture Shift CIC who's mission is to nurture innovative cross sector partnerships that use creativity as a catalyst for change.
