EFDSS Education

About

The English Folk Dance and Song Society's Education department works to raise the profile and develop the practice of folk music, dance and other arts within education. It creates and delivers creative learning projects for children, young people and adults, in formal education and community settings, at Cecil Sharp House, across London, and around the country, often in partnership with other organisations. This includes The Full English, its national digital archive and learning project funded by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund through which it worked with schools and cultural organisations across England. EFDSS’ current work with youth folk music includes the National Youth Folk Ensemble, London Youth Folk Ensemble, Folk Unlimited for disabled young people, Get Your Folk On! holiday courses, and projects with schools and Music Education Hubs.
