Flautist

I am currently teaching music in a SEN school for 2 - 19yr olds with severe and complex needs (PMLD and ASC - mostly non verbal) - about to go in to my 5th year. Prior to this I worked for music services - senior management, small group and individual instrumental tuition, workshop provision, orchestral and ensemble direction and whole class teaching (5 years).The bulk of my teaching career(20 yrs) was spent in secondary mainstream where I finished as a HOD in a large comprehensive teaching yrs 7 -13. My primary instrument is the flute, but I also play the sax, piano and recorder, having completed postgraduate studies at the RCM. I still play semi -professionally regularly for a choral society, and before moving to Hampshire for a number of orchestras, opera companies, regularly in the pit and have given recitals. I now play for a wind quintet and also for a Pops orchestra and Big Band(lead alto sax).
