Jane Parker

I am an Early Years Music Practitioner who firmly believes that everyone can contribute musically to a child’s life, using music as a natural way of embracing all areas of development and well being. I am currently working with Take Art on The Soundwaves Network Project in The South West which involves demonstrating and delivering effective child-centred music provision in diverse Early Years settings, as well as also creating a sustainable model incorporating training of Early Years practitioners both in their settings and across our wider regional network. As a forward thinking practitioner, I not only consider what is best practice, but rather look towards ‘next’ practice. I have completed an MA in Early Years Music Education. I am also a course tutor and mentor for the Certifcate Music Education: Early Childhood. I very much enjoy supporting practitioners to develop self reflection and self efficacy in order to create the best musical experiences possible for very young children.
