About

Who Am I

I have been involved in music for over 30 years and have worked in teaching or teaching music for at least 20 years. I have been heavily involved in developing projects that engage our local community here in Enfield (Ponders End) and I have been called a 'Community Activist' a term I wear proudly as my badge of honour. I have been now been the Chief Executive of Niburu for 12 years and am very proud of the work we have done during that time from engaging young people in music projects to working with the Over 60's to develop their film making skills.

My Motivation

Its very important to create value in whatever we do in life. In most circumstances work is just a way to earn a living and finding a way to pay bills and support your circumstances whatever they may be and maybe have a holiday. But wouldn't it be more beneficial to society if one day the banker went into work and said "i wonder waht I can do for the community today" instead looking at "what profits are we making". This is my attitude towards the work I do and I am is privelaged to be able to support my local community with projects such as the one we have been funded for by Youth Music.

I have been extremely blessed with my life and have learnt so many skills that I can now put to great use and this has made me a great believer in then philosophy that everthing we do whether we realise at the time has apart to play in our lives at some point. So the importance of the office job you had that you never enjoyed, those skills learnt will come to be a skill required for the work you may need to do later in your life.
