Veronica Dowdeswell is an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of music and musical instruments with 26 years of extensive experience. In 2017 Veronica set up Ickenham Music to provide tuition to the surrounding areas of Ickenham, Hillingdon, Ruislip, Uxbridge Harrow and Pinner. Through Ickenham Music and lessons with Veronica, students of all ages and abilities are welcome to learn Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba and Music Theory in both individual and group settings.
With over 26 years’ experience of teaching piano, woodwind and brass instruments, Veronica tutors musicians from age 4 - 80, with a great track record of success in ABRSM exams and auditions for Specialist Music Schools, NCO & IAPS courses. Veronica has submitted students for over 700 ABRSM exams, achieving a high percentage of merits and distinctions.
Veronica also has extensive experience as a classroom music teacher with a PGCE in both Music and Maths. This expertise allows her to run group workshops (interest pending) for Music Theory, Aural Tests and also Ukuele classes. Group lessons (theory) and Half Term activities (ukulele) are charged according to size of group and are run for 2 hours each day.
Teaching from home, Veronica provides lessons in a comfortable environment with access to a large variety of teaching resources and a Steinway Model O Piano. This makes tuition easy to reach for pupils from Ickenham, Ruislip, Hillingdon, Uxbridge, Harrow, Harefield, Eastcote, Pinner, Gerrards Cross and the Chalfonts.
