December Concert Tours

During December 2016 2017 2018 young people who had met during the summer residential workshops went on tour to perform songs that they had written and recorded. These were Christmas celebration events that provided a great opportunity for the 'CLIC Sargent Singers' to perform in some amazing venues to thousands of people. The tours comprised venues such as the Sage Gateshead; Newcastle City Hall; Manchester Bridgewater Hall; Royal Albert Hall; Institute of Contemporay Arts; St Peter Mancroft Norwich, and Exeter Cathedral. The ICA concert was a two-hour showcase of young people's compositions and arrangements over the first two-years of the Youth Music-funded programme. In addition to being a huge confidence boost and important follow-on from the workshops, the young people were supported to develop resilience through telling their cancer stories in public.
