Routes Music Festival provides a platform for young musicians aged 12-24 to showcase their talents on an open and accessible stage.

The aim is to give young bands and artists a first opportunity to take part in a festival style event, gain experience in playing in front of a crowd and working with a booker/promoter, so that they can then go on and more confidently book other shows.

The Festival brings local communities together and supports the development and creative growth of young musicians and entrepreneurs alike.

This ethos is endorsed throughout the whole process, by recruiting teams of young volunteers to help plan, develop and deliver the festival all the way from marketing, press and photography, to technical support and catering.

Application forms and details are attached and must be returned before 1st May.

All performers must be aged between 12 – 24 years of age.

If successful, you will be contacted in May, with more information about the day.

“Supported by Youth Music and using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.”
