Listen to this toddler's babbling, talking and singing as she explores the ukulele with her key worker. She is two.

 

 

Communication and engagement

This little girl is two. She is a great communicator, and is happily babbling away as she explores the ukulele.  She is fully engaged for over 13 minutes here, and this clip ends with her taking the flip camera from me. She then explored the flip camera for ten minutes, saying ‘cheese’ as she took film and ‘picture’.

Attunement/reciprocity

This early years practitioner is very attuned to this little girl. She is her key worker. She knows instinctively how to listen and ‘tune in’ to this little girl. The adult knows  this toddler very well, so understands her requests for songs and a lot of her language.
