Mini-music really hitting the spot

Our latest evaluation for Mini-music makes fascinating and really heartening reading. As you might expect, it gives pre-school children the wonderful opportunity to learn about making, listening and responding to music in a fun environment (100% reported that their childen were having fun), but it clearly does much more than that. Many parents and carers report that their children are more confident, mix with other children better and listen more. Nearly 40% also reported that their child's behaviour had improved. The benefits of early years music are not confined to just the children either. Parents and carers reported that they were having fun too (100% in fact) and mini-music gave them a reason to get out of the house - many had made new friends. This is really encouraging given that loneliness and social isolation are growing problems.
