Youth Music are proud to announce a partnership with the Unsigned Music Awards, the first ever major televised industry awards show dedicated exclusively to unsigned and emerging artists!

The Unsigned Music Awards celebrate unsigned artists and song writers. They are aware of how much talent is out there within the community of unsigned artists growing rapidly, but with no industry backing or recognition.

'The major record industry boasts countless award shows crafted to recognise the achievements of well-known chart toppers and other big names throughout the year, but until today, nobody has tilted the spotlight fully towards the unsigned industry with a view to recognising the huge wealth of new music on the same scale, with the same glamour and the very same prestige.'  

With one award category specially dedicated to 11-17 year olds in support of Youth Music, the UMA team are on the look out for some of the hottest new talent in the UK to enter for their chance to win an Award when the show airs in February 2016.

Applicants will be presented to a panel of more than 60 well known and highly active industry professionals who will ultimately decide upon the shortlisted nominees.

We ask that you help spread the word to anyone you know that’s unsigned and producing great music, especially if they are aged 11-17 as this award is perfect for them. To take part, all they'll need to do is take a few minutes out of their day to answer a handful of questions and upload some music - it’s that easy, and it won't cost them a penny from start to finish.
