Quick Update from Rising Stars NW!

Hello everyone!

I work at Rising Stars NW and thought I would give you guys a little insight as to what we have achieved in the past few months!

So the first project started in February and ended in May. We had two different sessions, one for under 18s and one for over 18s.

For these sessions we wanted to prepare young people for working in the music industry.  Young people were given the chance to work alongside musicians and industry professionals in order to create their own individual digital EPs, and to help boost their confidence to perform to a live audience!  

Whatever it was that the young people wanted out of the course..  whether it was to learn an instrument, learn to DJ, produce, singing, or just to improve their exisiting skills, we made sure everyone got the help they needed in order to achieve their goals.

For the big finale, we held the showcase event at Stockport Art Gallery, where all the learners could show everyone all the brand new music they had made.

I personally was amazed with how many guests came down to see the learners showcase their work..  but all their hard work really paid off as everyone's performances were flawless.

We have just started sessions for the next project with a new group of learners (only 11-18 year olds this time round), and everything is looking promising!
