Voices Foundation is seeking to hear from individuals who have experience of leading high quality Musicianship and/or Choral delivery in early years, primary and secondary settings. We welcome applications from any geographical area, however we are particularly interested to hear from those within commutable distances of the following areas: Yorkshire and Humber, the North-West, Lincolnshire, South Wales and London.
Delivering our Musical Foundations Programmes to early years, primary and secondary schools, Musicianship practitioners will have a strong understanding of teaching core musical skills to children and young people. Programmes focus on delivering musicianship through singing to develop well-rounded musicians and musical progression through listening and practical activities, encouraging the development of confidence, skills and understanding. We welcome knowledge of a variety of approaches including Kodaly.
Delivering our Choral Excellence Programmes to primary and secondary schools, we are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of children’s voices, who can successfully develop children’s technical and choral skills and support them to reach and exceed their potential. Ideally individuals would also have experience of training teachers or individuals to lead high quality singing activity (such as choirs or singing assemblies) however this is not essential. Practitioners will be highly skilled in developing pitching and aural skills, vocal range, quality of sound produced, ensemble singing and performance skills and able to work across a wide range of repertoire.
Terms and Conditions
Contract: Freelance – successful applicants will be responsible for their own tax and national insurance
Payment: Negotiable upon experience
Project Timings: Projects will begin next academic year however there is no guarantee you will be offered immediate work
Project Locations: Nationwide, although we are keen to hear from those within commutable distance of: Yorkshire and Humber, the North-West, Lincolnshire, South Wales and London.
Please note successful applicants will be required to complete a valid Enhanced DBS check if they do not already possess one dated within the last 2 years.
