Fanfare World Record Attempt 2018

Thurrock Marching Brass in conjunction with Marching Band Activity United Kingdom are proud to confirm that they will be organizing a  World Record for the Longest Line of Fanfare Trumpeters (valved Trumpeters) in History in October 2018

For this attempt they have teamed up with the British Youth Band Association who have graciously allowed us to perform the attempt at their prestigious National Championships in October 2018. This will be held in Worcester of either Saturday 6th or Sunday 7th October, which will be confirmed once fixture lists have been released in July 2018.

The successful 2014 World Record was lead by the amazing abilities of principal conductor Paul Binder, Band Director for the Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps, and are thrilled to also confirm that Paul has agreed to be principal conductor once more for the 2018 attempt.

It is hoped that 150 or more valved Trumpet, Cornet and Bass Brass players from across the United Kingdom and from every type organisation will take part.  The current World Record stands at 146 players.

This official notice is an open invitation to anyone in the United Kingdom to take part please register your interest by emailing us at fwra2018@gmail.com where further information will be provided.
