Where do old djembe drums go to die?

Where do old djembe drums go to die?

Like most music clubs we seem to have accumulated a vast store of odd bits and pieces left over from aged drum kits, PA systems and other such paraphernalia donated by well-meaning parents!

So, partly in honour of our youth music funding and the associated feeling of trying to be better at what we do, but mainly because we’ve run out of space we thought we’d have a tidy up.

One rule… be brutal, will we really use an incomplete 20year old electric drum kit? Clearly not so bin it!   After a long day and 3 trips to the dump, we have a lot more space and an idea of what equipment we actually need.

Our brutality does have a limit though! We find we are left with about 8 djembe type drums with broken skins. As they are carved wood and don’t feel like a Chinese mass-produced kit it doesn’t feel right to just chuck them out. We have more than enough complete Djembe for our clubs to use so were need to find a loving home for these.

More than happy to give them away to a good cause.
