Trustee Roles at Awards for Young Musicians
Job description
Can you help give talent a chance?
Musical talent is everywhere: sadly, opportunity isn’t. Too often family finances and other obstacles get in the way. Awards for Young Musicians (AYM) is here to change this.
In 20 years we have grown to become one of the largest and most respected charities in music education. Every year we support hundreds of young musicians from low-income families with funding and much more, and we support music leaders and the sector through training, advocacy and research: a combination that creates real impact. And we’ve plenty more growing to do!
As we look to refresh our board, we are recruiting a number of trustees across all disciplines and across the whole of the UK, particularly beyond the south east of England. While previous trustee experience isn’t necessary, a passion for encouraging young people’s musical potential is paramount. We are happy to pay reasonable expenses.
If you think this may be you, please see our recruitment pack below. If you would like an informal chat with one of our trustees, please email hester.cockcroft@a-y-m.org.uk
This is an ongoing process and we welcome applications at any time.
