This unique one day course is designed for teachers that are on the frontline with solutions that actually work. The course aims to provide you with new ideas and various strategies to deal with disruption, set effective ground rules and boundaries while building rapport to ensure your lessons are productive, engaging, positive and a happy classroom environment.

This course has been designed by Karl Pupé who is a current tutor and previous student of Community Music. Karl is a qualified classroom teacher with over eight years’ experience across the primary, secondary and further education sectors. The course follows the strategies based from Karl’s new book “The Action Hero Teacher’ which is available now from Amazon.

Karl says “Newly trained teachers and those that work in areas with harsh socio-economic conditions can find themselves in classrooms with hostile, disengaged students who won’t listen, disrupt other pupils’ learning and, in some cases, are verbally or physically abusive – even to teachers. This course shows you how to manage this.”
