Band Booklets

One of our outcomes for the Youth Music funding was to establish a musicianship, leadership and management programme for our young players.

These band booklets are how we are going to monitor players' progress while they are with us. We have a whole range of badges in different areas based on the concept that a band is a small enterprise and requires similar thinking to be sustainable. Entrepreneurial skills are extremely useful and transferable so everyone benefits from the system. The booklets are the result of 10 years of research into band set-up and management but they will always be a work in progress, suggestions welcomed. Reception to the booklets has been positive from families and players so far. We'll report back from time to time about how they are going.
