WHAT THE PROJECT IS ABOUT:

Our music teachers at Cre8tive Granville deliver creative and inspirational free one-to-one and group music lessons and workshops, for children and young people aged 8-17, who are facing barriers to making music.

The project runs in South Kilburn, one of the most deprived areas of London, through weekly after school lessons.

The project’s main aim is to help young people increase confidence in themselves, through strengthening their music skills and progressing in learning an instrument.

Cre8tive Granville delivers weekly one-to-one 30 minutes music lessons, teaching mainly piano and guitar to over 25 children. We gathered that they are the most popular, after having had a consistent demand by the young people that wanted to learn those instruments. We also deliver group lessons and workshops to work on making music together, improvising, trying a new instrument, learning specific topics, and basic music technology.
