If you are an Early Years Practitioner or parent who would like to build your knowledge, understanding and confidence in using music with very young children, this would be ideal for you! This session has been planned in light of the current coronavirus situation, and we have included songs and rhymes to adapt for use at home and in settings. This is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who may have already done some music with their children either at home or in their setting.

Focus of the session: Ideas and resources for doing music at home and in settings: Part 1

What you will take away from this session: • You will be introduced to songs, games and rhymes to use with very young children and how to use these across the 0-5 age range; • We will be focusing on themes such as songs and rhymes related to the house and garden (for example songs about cooking) and springtime songs; • We will suggest how to adapt these depending on your levels of confidence and the environment you’re currently working in; • You will have the chance to interact with the CPD leaders, other practitioners and parents in the comments.
