Early Years Training Day 'Bringing Nursery Rhymes to Life'
Event description
This event will include practical workshops, resource building, and networking, all equipping practitioners to use music in their setting every day to support learning. Participants will receive ideas and resources to take straight back to settings and get using.
All participants will attend a practical introductory group session, followed by three workshops:

Workshop 1: Using nursery rhymes as the starting point for playing with language and as a tool to help develop phonics and speech & language. Led by Martin Harwood.

Workshop 2: An introduction to early stage creative composition inspired by nursery rhymes. How to use tuned and untuned percussion instruments to support musical creations. Led by Esther Sheridan.

Workshop 3: Linking nursery rhymes with art and sensory engagement. Make your own props and materials and then learn how to use these alongside nursery rhymes. Led by Polly Ives.
